Art Talk May 9: Festival Names Me Featured Speaker

The organizers for the Festival Of Independent Artists asked me to present during the festival's Artists Speak event that evening.

I will talk about my paintings on display at the festival as well as share insights on how and why I make art (including why I love watercolor so much).

Arrive 5:30 - We Start At 6:00 Sharp (And I Speak First!)

Artists Speak will start at 6 p.m. sharp that evening, May 9, so definitely plan to get to the festival early so you can get settled well before that time. 

Doors open at noon that day, so you can come at any time that afternoon and browse the show before my presentation. 

NOTE: I am "first up" that night, as my presentation will be the first part of Artists Speak. I will share some insider background about me and my art that you'll want to experience. You'll hear brief reflections on what inspires my work, followed by audience Q&A.

The Festival Of Independent Artists will be held Mother's Day weekend, May 8 through 10.

The festival will take place at the historic Stan Mansion on Chicago's North Side, at 2408 N. Kedzie Blvd.

• Single day tickets for Saturday and Sunday only
