Magazine Arts Interview: RC Digest Showcases My Paintings

A recent issue of the international online magazine Rosicrucian Digest presented my article Ma’at’s Feather and the Art of Transformation in a special edition devoted completely to art. This colorful, art filled issue celebrated art as the Rosicrucian Salons of the 1890s did, exploring painting as well as music, writing, sculpture, and dance from a mystical perspective.

The magazine continued this special celebration this month when Julie Scott, Rosicrucian Grand Master for the English Grand Lodge of the Americas, interviewed me in depth about my oil painting Ma'at's Feather and its related article, Ma'at's Feather and the Art of Transformation, as part of a conversation with some of the authors of the articles in the Rosicrucian Digest arts issue.

Video Now Up

The video for the interview is up, and you can enjoy it now. Use the player here, which is queued up to start right at the beginning of my interview:

More About Ma'at And Her Famous Feather

The interview opens by exploring my oil painting, Ma'at's Feather, which shows a single purple and white feather against a mysterious red and gold background.

Colorful painting of a single purple feather with textured red, pink, yellow background, with the text 'Anne Nordhaus-Bike, Maat's Feather' at bottom.

I created this piece during a time of great introspection, inner evolution, and mystical development. That also was a funny time of finding feathers everywhere, whenever I was outside taking a walk or just going out into the backyard.

Now you can enjoy the story about when and why I created this artwork, including details I've never shared before.

Interview Includes Three More Paintings

Besides Ma'at's Feather, the interview includes a section dedicated to exploring three of my other paintings:

Watch the video now to see these paintings and hear the history of my artistic development that led to my latest creations.

Enjoy!
