Save The Date-Art Festival, Mother's Day Weekend

It's my pleasure to announce that organizers for the Festival Of Independent Artists have invited me to participate in this year's festival, which will be held Mother's Day weekend, May 8 through 10.

The festival will take place at the historic Stan Mansion on Chicago's North Side, at 2408 N. Kedzie Blvd. 

Art, Culture, & Community

VibrantCast, which is creating this new arts event, has designed it as an opportunity for art collectors and artists to meet, mingle, and make connections.

Across three days, VibrantCast will present "art, culture, and community," allowing visitors to explore collections of art while getting to know the artists - and purchasing vibrant original artwork.

More than 100 independent artists will participate.

Event Schedule - Join Me There!

I will attend all three days of the festival, and VibrantCast will showcase my flower and nature watercolors.

Here is the full festival event schedule:

• Friday, May 8: Opening night, 5 to 9:30 p.m. The festival kicks off with Art Speaks, a live performance by writers and poets who will present original pieces inspired by selected artworks included in the festival. Brief reflections by the artists will follow.
• Saturday, May 9: Open noon to 9 p.m. for visitors to explore the festival and meet the artists. At 6 p.m., during Artists Speak, several participating artists will share brief reflections on what inspires their work, followed by audience Q&A. Also, all visitors can participate in the People's Choice Recognition Awards by voting for their favorite artworks using the VibrantCast app.
• Sunday, May 10, Mother's Day: Open noon to 6 p.m. Special Ticket Offer: Mothers receive free admission with purchase on a paid ticket. At 3 p.m., VibrantCast will announce the People's Choice Recognition Award winners, celebrating the pieces visitors liked best. In the afternoon, enjoy live guitar music in the ballroom and relaxed browsing and art buying throughout the festival space.

Organizers are offering a range of ticket options:

• A special Opening Night (Friday) ticket, which includes a reception with live performances
• Single day tickets for Saturday and Sunday only
• A three day all access pass

NOTE: If you plan to go on Sunday, VibrantCast also is offering a Mother's Day special ticket: mothers receive free admission with the purchase of a paid ticket.
