Two Flower Paintings Earn Double News Coverage

What happens when you walk into an art show and realize the work in front of you is not only powerful but being talked about beyond the gallery walls?

That’s exactly the experience waiting for visitors to A Beautiful Noise, an exhibition that’s drawing attention in the media, thanks to recent newspaper coverage highlighting the artists and their work.

Beautiful Noise Paintings Make Headlines

Southwest Regional Publishing news article about artists in Beautiful Noise exhibit.

My two watercolor paintings in the Beautiful Noise exhibition - Gentle Hope (Cascade) and Perfect Peace (The Sound Of Butterfly Wings) - are among the pieces that have received special press coverage in multiple local newspapers following the opening reception:

  • These paintings made the front page of the latest edition of the Brighton Park-McKinley Park Life newspaper. See the wonderful photo and caption at the top of the front page now. (And you can download the newspaper from that page if you wish.)
  • Also, my Perfect Peace painting scored a major mention in Southwest Regional Publishing's coverage of the show, Local Artists Turn Noise Into Visual Masterpieces, with a beautiful photo of me with this artwork. See the article now on the Southwest Regional Publishing website.

It’s always an honor to have artwork included in an exhibition, but to have my work recognized publicly in print makes the experience even more meaningful.

Show Is Up Through May 2 - Come See For Yourself

Reading about an art show in the news is one thing. Standing in front of the work is something else entirely.

In person, you can:

  • See a watercolor's subtle textures
  • Follow each brushstroke's movement
  • Let your eye—and your imagination—wander

In the case of A Beautiful Noise, it’s the difference between hearing about a song and actually listening to it.

In this case, the "songs" are visual artworks, and their music gets made through colors, lines, and shapes that combine to capture the sense of movement and energy you feel when you listen to music you love.

You can experience this special effect yourself now: A Beautiful Noise remains up through Saturday, May 2.

Come step into the music with art that's being recognized and shared with the wider community.
