In coming months, several astrological shifts will bring us strong energies encouraging innovation, transformation, and constructive change.
You already may be feeling these impulses as a strong desire for immediate action, thanks to Uranus—a planet associated with awakening and sudden change—in powerful Aries. Also, the waxing Moon, which will be full on March 8, may be bringing tension and a desire for release through action. In addition, the equinox will arrive in about two weeks and bring with it a new astrological year as well as a new season, so you may feel restless and want to rush ahead rather than take your time closing out the current year.
Yet several other astrological factors suggest our best course lies in using the next two weeks for final preparations for the new instead of pressing for instant results. For example, the Sun is only halfway through its annual sojourn in Pisces, a typically introspective and dreamy time of the year. Mars, the action planet, remains retrograde until next month, making it hard to take action right now. Mercury, the planet ruling our mental processes, will go retrograde in a few days and remain so for three weeks, so our thinking may lack the clarity needed for making decisions. After the full Moon this Thursday, the Moon will enter its waning cycle, encouraging us to become introspective until the next new Moon on March 22.
So, like the tortoise, we can make our best progress now by slowing down. As we do, we can begin to notice important yet subtle details we otherwise would miss, and we may experience flashes of intuition or unusual insights during meditation. During this process, themes related to Pisces (spirituality, unity, compassion) and to Virgo (analysis, perfection, service) take on added importance because the Sun and Neptune are in Pisces and Mars and the coming full Moon are in its opposite sign, Virgo.
Along the way, we may encounter issues related to health because both these signs place special emphasis on this area. That makes this an excellent time to review our daily routines to ensure they support health on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual planes. Also, because both Virgo and Pisces focus on service to others, the next two weeks are a good time to reflect on how we can help others without becoming overextended or harming our own health.
Virgo’s keen eye helps us see patterns, so this is a good time to learn from the past by noticing errors we tend to repeat; then use Pisces’s intuitive powers to identify root causes and new ways to overcome them. Pisces’s sensitive nature helps us realize what hurts us, making this a good time to notice how we allow ourselves to become victims; then use Virgo’s pragmatism to reclaim personal power and set healthy limits and boundaries.
Above all, this period offers a good time to rest, especially if we have experienced illness or disappointment in recent months. The astrology of late spring will bring powerful energies and many opportunities for change, and we can harness them much more effectively if we take the time to refresh ourselves now.
May the coming days bring you abundant opportunities for deep rest and fruitful introspection.
